2720 vs. 3124kb??? reality of tow rating?

We have not committed to a tow vehicle, yet... trying to find a Ford E-class van I can look at in a lot. Seems like that might be a cost effective solution, but noone seems t keep them in stock. If nothing else, I have an older Mercedes SUV that has a 7600 tow capacity, so that could always be my fall back, for now.

Same down here... none of the dealers stock the E-Wagons. A few stock the E-Cargo Vans, but usually only in white and as 15 passenger extended versions.
These same cargo vans, when found in used lots, tend to have tons of miles on them.
