Hi everyone,
We have a new-to-us 2021 2518KB. I was looking for anything that needed fixing prior to our first trip. Some minor things, but also a big issue. The wheels clearance seems extremely small. It is about is less than 1/2" unloaded. Wheels and rims are proper size. Hence, I think the axle needs service and probably replacement parts. Can anyone point me to a discussion about adjustments and the potentially worn parts? I would like to be armed with good information before approaching a dealer or repair shop to get service. Also, are there other manufacturers where these axles are used? I.e. a different dealer or service center not normally handling Trailmanors could adjust/repair the axle?
Thanks in advance! I also would appreciate any stories of similar issues and how they got resolved in your Trailmanor. Cheers:)

Re "wheel clearance is 1/2 inch", I think you you mean clearance above the tire, right? The factory photos on the TM web site seem to show a surprisingly (to me) small clearance above the tire. Your first step might be to take a picture of the tire area, clearly showing the clearance, send it to TM, and ask if it looks proper. Or perhaps another 2518 owner can post a picture of that area of their trailer here.

Can you eyeball the axle, or perhaps even pull a string, to confirm that the axle is straight across the width of the trailer, and not bent? If someone lifted the trailer by putting a jack under the axle instead of under the frame, a number of strange things can happen.

Finally, if you slide yourself under the trailer, you will likely find a couple paper tags stuck to the axle. They identify the maker and the model of the axle. For a long time, TM used torsion axles from Lippert and Dexter. Those guys make axles for a wide variety of trailers, and any axle shop can handle them - they are not specific to TrailManors. TM may be using another axle now, and the tags will tell us who. Can you photo the tags?

To the best of my knowledge, there are no axle adjustments that can be made.

Let's start from there. Bill

Hi Bill, thanks for your response! Sorry, yes, it is a 2021 2518KB...typo. The issue is that the top of the tires nearly touch the wells. So much so, that I can see the wear on the wheel wells. There is *some* clearance, but it seems unsafe to me. I did contact Lippert (yes, there was a sticker). I also tried to contact Trailmanor, but maybe I don't have the right contact. I used the parts email address since I didn't find another one. No response after a week.
Here on the forum I was looking to see if anyone can share experiences or can share their observations on their own trailers and how to check what the issue may be. I first thought the previous owners put on the wrong rims or tire size, but it appears the tires/rims are correct per the manual. So my next thought was adjustments, but from looking at the design of the axle/suspension it didn't seem likely that there are any adjustments I can make. I wonder if the previous owners overloaded the unit or something. Maybe something is broken/torn inside the axle...it sounds like there are rubber components.
Thanks.

I have a 2016 2720 QB. My axle is held to the frame by 2 bolts that adjust front to back. I had problems with tires because it was not centered in the wheel wheel. After figuring that out and adjusting the position on both driver and passenger sides measured to the tongue to the same measurement, I have had no more problems. It was not an issue with height however, but there was the front to back adjusting that could be carefully done.

He posted pictures. No amount of adjustments is going to fix it.
