Default Never thought it would happen!

So all, we've finally reached the end of our wish/to do list! Well, I have anyway. Gene and our son still need to adjust the brakes but then we are DONE! We'll probably have a new one just as long when we get back from our big trip but WOW! We've done so much with a TM that didn't need all that much to begin with.

Anyway, a heartfelt thanks to all who have put up with so much! All of the wonderful suggestions and advice have been PRICELESS! However, for now, our own personal TM stimulus plan has concluded! Every online store and shipper on the planet sends their thanks as well.

WAHOO!!

Bob,

I'm with you there! Eighteen days and counting . . .

Thank goodness we can quit pulling the trailer out every day it's above freezing. I'm sure the neighbors think we are insane.

Wayne,

I knew I could count on you! We are newbies here but we did put 10s of 1000s of miles on our Bounder so we aren't complete newbies!

I sorta agree with Wayne. You just think you are done! You may have the major issues done and fixed, but those TM to do lists just seem to take on a life of their own! I'm sure you have a deep sense of satisfactions with what you have accomplished...well done! Now it is time to enjoy.

I think that half the fun of owning one of these things is working on them.

You've done a nice job on yours........ Don't forget to bring some tools. You never know when you might find something along the way that you want to add..........

Have a fun, safe trip.

Thanks Wayne. Funny you mention tools.

When we went to Flagstaff the day after Christmas, I proceeded to break the key off in the lock of our brand new camper shell the first morning out. I believe it was 12 degrees. I know it was dark. Guess where all of our tools were! Yep, inside the camper shell. Eventually, I was able to pull the broken part out with two steak knives but now we also have a little toolbox in the bumper of the TM.

I am so paranoid about losing a key, or locking it inside that I keep two full sets. Each ring has:

2 for TM
2 for Chevy
1 for GMC
2 for 2 motorcycles
2 for 2 ATVs
2 for 2 trailer/hitch locks
5 for various padlocks
plus a beer bottle opener

Plus another set that I always carry so I can get back in the house when we return home.

In 5 seasons of camping, I don't recall ever using a tool to repair the TM or one of the trucks. Not even the ATVs or motorcycles.

My favorite specialty tool is a pair of long locking scissors that I use to remove or install the cotter pin for the electric switch for the water heater.
