Ah ah! Thanks, ferdoh, I had been looking all over for those male acme pieces. Looks like it would be cheaper to buy the adapter with the disposable tank threads, and just replace the those threads with a male acme piece (vs. buying all parts and assembling them myself).

Any real propane place, usually including bulk propane delivery businesses (but not a simple BBQ tank refiller or tank exchange place), can lengthen your hose to any length you want in a few minutes, for only a few bucks.
