Ditto, I might want to get into that sometime in the future.

If this forum is only TrailManor specific why is there an OFF TOPIC section that is public? Take a look at it and you can see that there are many, many Threads that discuss things that are not specific to TrailManors.
If these types of discussions have to be private then why not delete the section titled OFF TOPIC and be done with it?
Just my 2 cents...

Not a problem at all and no apology is even needed. I just thought that everyone should be on the "same page". Thank you for clearing this up. Your input is always appreciated!!

This is my feeling - please feel free to comment:

The question isn't so much whether posts on geocaching are appropriate in the Off Topic forum (they certainly are appropriate!), but whether there is sufficient interest to generate a LOT of posts and become annoying to a lot of members. If there are only a few posts, then they can stay right where they are. But if there is a LOT of interest, and therefore a lot of posts, would anyone think bad thoughts if I petitioned Chris for a separate geocaching forum?

Default mmmmaybe.

Tough call, Bill. I am so interested in this topic that I want to read all about it, BUT, I like this being a focused forum. Can it stay in the Off-Topic area? That way the interested would know where to find it but it wouldn't upset the purists.

I don't have a clue what geocoaching is... could someone explain it to me?????
Sounds kinda like counseling while camping, is that correct?

Leon (and everyone), here is a pdf geocaching brochure that many geocachers favor to carry with them. It briefly explains what geocaching is. It's good to be able to show this to people starting out, or even law enforcement officers if necessary, if questioned about why you are poking around the bushes.

http://geocacher-u.com//index.php?op...d=19&Itemid=54

The following website has lots of useful info, downloads, etc,.....either for the person starting out in geocaching or the seasoned veteran. The geocaching 101 and 201 sections are most helpful.

www.geocacher-u.com

Of course, the first place to start off is the www.geocaching.com website itself, with the folllowing FAQ's.
