Default No politics... just a thank you...

Jim;

Thank you so much for sharing that link. It was indeed beautiful. This site has been most helpful in many ways. In addition to helping me learn about TM’s it has often made me smile. Today this link did something else… Perhaps I will be allowed to share something my wife taught me. If you look in the image below, that little woman was ( still is, I have since learned, once a Marine always a Marine ) Sergeant Melanie Wilkerson of the United States Marine Corps. She taught me, an old peace loving ex (almost) hippie, to thank Veterans for their service when I see them. As my wife is so fond of telling me…”Freedom isn’t Free…” The Soldiers purchase our Freedoms. Let us all support them in any way we can… and say thanks…

As an active USAF Reservist I travel to "the region" a few times a year as a flight crew member. I am always thankful and appreciative of those who serve there day after day. I'm truly humbled in their presence and they deserve and need our support.

Watch the video...it will probably bring tears to your eyes, as it did mine...

Thank you, Leon, for your support. It is humbling and much appreciated.

All of our men and women serving in today's (and yesterday's) military have earned every bit of support, appreciation and love that we can offer them. Such a small thing from us for such a big sacrifice from them...blessings to their family members waiting at home too.

Take care of you and yours,
Melanie

Default Fantastic

Jim thanks for the video. I think it was done by a 17 year old woman ( what incite, understanding and talent). Guess what she will be doing in the future? Joining the military. God bless her the military and the country.

Actually, the internet says she was 15 when she did it. She got it right as far as I'm concerned. I was on the receiving end of the insults and derogatory comments (my youngest brother was a protester!) when I got back from Viet Nam and would hate to see that happen to these kids. All I can say is "God bless them!"
