Default Odd Hole

I just noticed two holes (1/4") poorly drilled in the top rear outside corners of the front shell. One to the left of the awning and another in the same location on the other side. I can't imagine why these holes are there. Anyone else have these holes?

"They are weep holes to vent any moisture that may collect under the trim." That is the answer my dealer gave when I asked him to "fix the damaged trim piece".

I have the same holes in my '04 3326. It is right where water runs off the top as trapped by the awning. I thought maybe they were for a drip spout that is made to keep black streaks off the side. Strange place to put a hole for drying. Why not under the awning?

Yes, we asked our dealer when we picked up our new 3124KS. THey are for drainage. What goes in must (hopefully) come out. QUeeniereads aka Judi

These holes are basically the gutter drains. Underneath the seals where the roof and sidewalls meet there is a channel formed by the bends of the two pieces, forming a channeled joint which tends to allow water which makes it past the seal to drain to the low points where these holes are found.

If these holes became blocked by debris, you could end up with moisture getting inside the TM.

The above information is my summary of what I was told by my TM dealer.

When I had leakage into the TM last summer I was first told to check these holes clear. For me, I had to reseal the curb side of my forward shell.

Enjoy your TM!
