Default black tank waste water holder

I'm going to install a 4 inch abs pipe under the trailer and connect it to the 3 inch abs line so that I can empty the toilet, I got it figure with valves and all will post pic when done. This way I can have two fills of the toilet before dumping !!!!!!!!!!! The Rip

Maybe I am misreading you, and I don't mean to be negative. But there is a cardinal rule in drain/waste plumbing. The flow should never go from a bigger pipe to a smaller one. Stuff in the flow settles out and gets caught at the point where the diameter decreases.

But this rule applies to house plumbing, and might not be so important here. First, the stuff that drops into the TM's drain pipes has already been through the macerator pump in the toilet, so it is more homogeneous than household waste. Second, the movement of the TM will tend to slosh any budding obstructions out of place before they build up to the point of clogging the pipe.

So you may be onto a good idea. Let us know how it works.

The 4 inch abs pipe will be the holding tank mounted across the trailer with fall to the new valve!

I got it! What a great idea. The new "tank" ought to get you almost 5 gallons of new capacity.

I've been contemplating the same project. I've seen PVC pipe used as black and grey water holders on a house boat and figured there has to be a way to do similar on the TM. I don't think I will need 5 gal capacity though. I may even use a large PVC elbow. My biggest concern is keeping the plumbing from getting any lower.

Ripp -

Very nice work. And it looks like all of the slide-gate valves now pull straight out, which is an improvement, too.

BTW, I've been looking at your movie-avatar for quite a while, trying to figure out what was wrong. This morning, I GOT IT! The TM is missing a bunch of windows! Also, looks like tiny, tiny wheels. This must be a real oldie but goodie!

As I understand this great idea for additional storage of black water, you would run a long piece of pvc, under the trailer from the back of trailer to front.

To save wear and tear on the clamps that will hold this tube in place, would it be necessary to make it in more than one section (3?). This would allow one to install baffels. It would seem that forward motion might cause the contents to slam toward the rear of the trailer. The reverse might be true if stops, especially sudden stops were to cause the contents to race forward. not only might this be hard on the brackets holding it in place (may tear them loose) but on slippery (icy, gravel) roads, is it possible this might effect control of the trailer. I know nothing about engineering or he effect of several pounds of yucky water, but it would seem that there would be some effect on the trailer and or the TV. It would seem that baffles were built on the top half inside the pipe, drainage shouldn't be impeded.

Ooh, is that a vent in the third picture? Or a pipe to a hose fitting to flush it out? A great idea on either count - I might not have thought of that.

Looks like you have a nice pitch to it - looks like maybe 2" end-to-end?

Have you measured capacity yet? Looks like it will be quite a bit more than than 5 gallons I estimated above. Maybe 10?

And finally, what do the hangers hang from?
