Suggested accesories

Hello,

I just purchased a 2003 2720 and will pick it up Saturday. What are the must-have accessories that I should consider? This is my first trailer/RV.

Also, what simple modifications or tips do you all recommend are there specifically for Trailmanor?

It depends on what you like to do and have available for use. I'd get onto the Camping World website and browse the products. Not saying you need to buy them there, but it will give you some ideas. We have so much stuff in the TM it's too much to list. Congrats on your "new" TM! You might consider a tire gauge and a brake controller as some of your first items. Here in CA it's illegal to tow without a working brake controller. Also, the driver that works like a screwdriver to take off the skirts in case you get a flat tire I forget what it's called. And of course a floor jack and wheel chocks. Do a YouTube search on "Tools you need for an RV" for more information.

Welcome to the forum. Several things come to mind. Will you be getting the owners manual with you TM? If one is not provided, you can download a copy on the forum, in the tech library section.
What is you tow vehicle? Does it have tow mirrors? If not, there are options, use the search tool. Type in tow mirrors and several posts should pop up for you to read on.
Tools, the square bits, I want to say Robertson? Don't quote me here, but you can find them at any hardware store. I have a tool bag, with spare fuses, short runs of wire, splices....the normal stuff.
I also went over the trailer and took pictures of most everything. Appliance tags, axle tags...how the battery is wired. Knowing what model/ with serial number of appliance makes finding parts easier, especially if your on a trip.
Bottom line, this forum will help when you need it. And again welcome to the forum and the Trailmanor.

My tow vehicle is a 2006 Chev. Express van G1500, without tow mirrors, so I will look into get those.

Do you recommend transmission cooler and weight distributing hitch?

Your tow vehicle is apparently rated at 6500 pounds, which was more than adequate, even in pre-J2807 days. However, it is 26 years old and may have a bunch of miles on it, so my thought is that a transmission cooler is a good preventive measure, and a lot cheaper than a transmission rebuild. At very least, I would suggest an OBD electronic gauge such as a ScanGauge (lots of info on this Forum) so you can keep track of transmission temperature. I believe that 1996 vehicles had OBD-II rather than original OBD, which is helpful, but be sure to check it. This is especially important if you plan to tow in the mountains.

The wheelbase is a bit short at 135", so you may find that a WDH makes traveling a bit easier. Again, the forum has a lot of info about making that decision. Take a look in the TM Technical Library sub-forum. Sway control is not needed, though there is nothing wrong with having it if you feel the need.

I have not heard the Sealand toilet upgrade mentioned here. We are remodeling our 2005 TM and based on what we heard on this forum, and the FB group, we are installing the Sealand toilet from Scamp trailers.

+1 on this. The Trailmanor is tongue heavy by design, so while it is a light trailer overall, more weight is on the tongue than you might expect.
