Default Tm elkmont

We just discovered TM POP UP trailers and then we discovered the ELKMONT model and it looks exactly what we are looking for. Light weight to pull w/FORD EDGE 2007, full fridge (can’t fathom getting down on the floor to utilize the tiny fridge in the pop up), queen size bed open on both sides, and bthrm in the back.

Considering a 2010 unit listed price $12,900. Does that sound reasonable?
Does anyone on here have experience w/ELKMONT model? How do you like it?

We are brand new to the RV lifestyle so need to learn the ropes from you seasoned rv’ers.

You can determine the fair market value by perusing the asking prices for similar rv's. As for the refrigerators in the TM's, I've found that by bending at the waist (kinda like you do when your shoelace comes untied) one can avoid the need to lie prostrate on the floor to access the low profile refers. Besides, standing with the refer door open is not really a long term thing.

TM made very few of the Elkmonts, and only for a year or two. I think it was an experimental design, done with the thought of opening up a new business area for them. It didn't take off as fast as they had hoped, and around that time, TM's inventor and owner became very ill. Between the two issues, they decided to discontinue production. It's too bad - the few that were sold seemed to be well-received, and they were built with a lot of the same parts, materials, and processes that were used in traditional TMs, so maintenance wasn't as much of a big deal as you might think.

I say this not to discourage you, but only to let you know that you won't find a lot of them out there, or many owner reports. "Fair market value" is also hard to determine, since there was so little market.
