Bruce in IBM commercial with Buzz Aldrin!
I thought some of you might find it entertaining to connect me to a face in pop culture. This new IBM ad features Buzz Aldrin, Arianna Huffington, Janelle Monae, Miaym Bialik, and astonishingly: me. I'm the guy at the start writing the letter, and I appear later in the ad to ask for security, Open Source, and data rights as human rights. This is playing myself as the evangelist of Open Source and various rights.
I did this for fun, as it is the first and probably the last time in my life I will be cast for anything. I got the limousine treatement, a stay at the bungalows at the Fairmont Santa Monica, screen actor's guild scale for pay, and will be paid residuals if they use it a lot.

A 60-second version of the ad will run during the Oscars TV program. I am writing the letter to Tech at the start and calling for Data Rights as Human Rights later in the ad.
