In 6 years we plan a 6 month trip to Alaska, taking our time, we are beginning to make our plans and save our money for the trip. Have any of you guys done this? If so what route would one take and is the TM up to this trip? We will be traveling with my husband's brother and his wife, they have a hi-low, so it will probably take the next few years to plan, his brother has a diesel truck and is planning to put a cover on it for supplies, we may trade our Mercury v-8 gas hog in for a diesel if the prices stay the way they are now, his brother's milegage is better than ours right now.
Would appreciate any advice on this.
Alaska Bound (6 years or less) will start count down when it gets closer.
