How long did it take to sell your Trail Manor
I have a 2008 2720 SL that I have had for sale for 2 years now. It's in good shape. I think its priced fair. I list it here, Facebook and craigslist. 7 people have expressed interest and 2 have checked it out.
What am I doing wrong?

Agreed. The way these things sell when priced right is pretty amazing. Also, where are you located? If there are a lot of them available, that lowers the price. 2 years seems like a long time.

Image sells. Take some time to "dress up" the TM and take more shots of what living would be like. Put some flowers on the table, afew throw pillows, and take lots of interior pictures (and exterior too). Pretend you are selling a piece of real estate. The impression in the ad will affect how the prospective owner views it in person.
When I sold my last car, I spent a long time cleaning and waxing. I even cleaned the engine bay. I was offered 90% of my asking price so I took the offer on the spot. I thought it would be a tough sell. In fact I got only 2 calls for it. Only one person came to see it and they bought it.
Try to make it look like some one would want to go camping right away. This is not going to guarantee an easy sell, but it may help.
Also, when you say you "upgraded" that makes it sound like the TM is a major compromise. For someone who wants to travel in a 40' 5th wheel, yeah, it is. But that's obviously not who you want to sell to. The TM is great for some one who wants super easy towing, easy storage (especially in the city) and easy set up. I.e., the TM is a major upgrade to a tent trailer.
Those are my thoughts anyway. Some one will want it. Good luck!

It's in MN. I've dropped the price every year. Anymore I'm just trying to get close to the loan payoff. I think $7k is reasonable for a 2008. Am I wrong?

From your for sale post, are you implying it is not available for viewing during the winters? That could be a factor, if so.

I took a look at your link with pictures. You have WAAAAAAY too many pictures of stuff that the average person will have no idea what they are looking at. Also need to rearrange them so the first pics are the best pics, that show the camper either opened or closed. I don’t know if all your ads are like they are on here, just a price and “click link for pics” but that comes across as click bait. Take the time to describe WHAT a TM is and what makes it unique.
Also you mention loan payoff... That adds a whole other layer to the process. You’ll find it even harder to sell a camper with a lien on the title. May be worthwhile to find a credit card with 0% APR Balance Transfer offer and get a clean title before spring rolls around.
But $8k for a 2006 in nice shape isn’t unreasonable at all. With a good ad and a clean title, it should sell quick. Note- I know nothing about the camping scene in a Minnesota, you may want to advertise in several adjoining Craigslist markets and be willing to meet a buyer halfway for delivery.

I like everything Shane said.....good practical sense. I also think your location is tough, so being willing to meet somewhere south is a good idea. I remember your TM was for sale when we also sold a 2720 2 years ago.....sorry you still have it. Good luck.
