Here's a bit of a reality check...my nephew just emailed me from his company's London office. They are paying the equivalent of over $5 per gallon in Europe and probably most other countries. We've got it good... :P

thanks for the speed info colorado cop! I was just curious - it seems i have bad luck.. if i break any traffic rule (although i try hard not to)--a police is right there to give me a ticket...so i now drive very careful

i just read on CNN:

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil prices jumped more than $1.50 to above $41.50 a barrel early Tuesday in the wake of a weekend attack in Saudi Arabia by Islamic militants left 22 people dead and heightened fears about political instability in the world's biggest oil exporter.

Gas just dropped another .01 yesterday, at this rate by Sunday, I might be able to afford to take my vacation and still have a little left over for a cold coke.

The price of regular (87 oct.) has dropped .03 here in the last week. A local Sam's Club installed pumps in the back about a month ago and few people seem to know about it. Please don't shoot me, I only paid 1.829 this AM.

Just took out a second mortage from Ditech at 5.5% so I could fill the wife's Jetta -- glad the economy is turning around.

Gas prices are coming down. Madison Wisconsin is down to 1.97, the lowest in a month. IL price is 1.91 today. We may get to take the vacation yet.

There's a website devoted to listing daily gas prices around the nation. Probably your home town, or at least nearby. Try:

http://gasbuddy.com/

Then click on the state of interest.

Example: Just clicked on MS/Jackson ->> found $1.72 as the low price; reported on Sat. @ 22:10
