Freshwater Tank Size
I'm looking at a 2006 2720 (two bed model) and the standard option sheet mentions a 20Gal freshwater tank. The TM website lists the 2720 has having a 40Gal freshwater tank.
Can anyone confirm if TM changed the size of the freshwater tank recently, or if possibly the option sheet has a typo and should say 40Gal for a 2006 2720 (QB)?

My '06 equipment list says "20 gallon fresh water".

If this is true, when did it become standard? 40 Gal is the standard now. I'm assuming if it is a 20 Gal, it wouldn't be too difficult to swap in a 40 Gal, probably just expensive to have TM ship a 40Gal tank...

My 2720 has the optional 40 gal. 20 was standard in 09'
Looks like the seat frame was installed after the tank and would cause you install
Issues, not prohibitive but more work.

I believe the 40 gallon tank became standard only within the last couple of years. If I am not mistaken, the 20 gallon tank is located under or near the sink. There is not room there for the 40 gallon tank.
My first 40-gal tank was under a dinette bench, and extended into the rear storage. My current 40 gallon tank is in the back storage area. You would need to find a space, then run water lines, and put the water pump someplace. You may be able to plumb from the new location to the existing pump placement, but I am not sure if that is feasible. Guess it wouldn't matter, though. You have to run the water to that point to tie-in to the existing plumbing.
Not an impossible job, but running a water line after the unit was built will be a bit of a challenge.
Good luck!

2720 with 40 gal fresh tank
We have the original paperwork on our 2007 2720 (we are the 3rd owner) It says 40 gallon tank under "options installed by manufacturer" Our fresh tank is under the dinette seat on the left side.

The dealer just took a picture of the water tank, and it is located under the left dinette seat as well (not under/near the sink). It definitely looks like a 20 Gal tank though, can anyone post a photo of their 40Gal under the seat? I wonder if the pump/plumbing is different between the two, or if it is just the tank size.

No pics available soon, that is a twenty, the pump, hoses and wiring on a forty are on the left side near the kitchen area, , looks like to get a forty in there you would need to relocate all plumbing, pump and wiring.
My unit is in storage until next week but I am sure of the above information.

Brad - if you zoom in on that picture, it looks like the dimensions are marked on the sticker as 17 x 22 x 13. That's 4862 cubic inches, which equates to 21 gallons, and probably 20 usable gallons.
