Am so sorry to hear this is happening to you. And, agree, this is no way to run a company. They should just be straight with you and the dealer and tell you what's going on.

Welllll, before we castigate Bob and Cleo, let's remember that we don't always have control over everyone involved in our projects. Maybe Cleo was told by the drivers that they would pick it up Tuesday, but the drivers didn't show. Maybe one was sick, or whatever.

I have confidence that Bob and Cleo are doing what they can to get everything running smoothly. They have no incentive not to. They made the move to Nebraska, and things are not going as planned, obviously. I doubt either of them is leaving the factory at 5 every night, and going home to relax. I can only imagine all the headaches they are dealing with.

I truly wish I could go out there and spend some time helping them get it all going smoothly. Unfortunately, I still have a day job, and can't spend time in Nebraska. I wish them the best of outcomes.

Very sorry for the constant delays of your delivery, as I would get frustrated, also. Even if they have delayed the shipment due to problems they found in the unit, I would rather they fix it before shipment, than to send it, then have the dealer fix it. Don't know, just speculating.

I have not walked a mile in their shoes, so I can't say what is going on in Nebraska.

I would have been fine if they told me it would be a 6 month wait and then very happily surprised to get in 5 months. I'm am very frustrated with them telling me they'd have it delivered in 60 days and revising that date 8 times over the last 4 and a half months. I have to drive over 200 miles one way to my dealer to pick it up and twice this week my PDI appointment has been cancelled, both with less than a days notice.

and repairs before I gave up and traded it in for a loss of close to $8K.

2 signs that don't look good; not being straight with their dealers and not calling when they say they will. I learned from working in a car dealership service department (both as a mechanic and advisor) that being straight with the customer goes a long way.

aslag, I completely agree. I appreciate accurate information, even if it is not what I want to hear. Much better than information based on hope, and not reality.

Good luck with the delivery!

Love: Last year I offered to help (am "comfortably" retired, no entanglements, and have A Lot of automotive, aircraft, and manufacturing experience). Not wanted.

aslag, if your unit is still in NE, it may be there until the weather improves. You wouldn't want it damaged during shipping and the weather is nasty right now.

When I was talking with Custom RV in preparation for ordering our TM I was told (on 12/10/15) that TM was on a 6 month lead time. Considering you ordered yours about a month earlier it seems surprising that you were told 60 days.

I still don't even have a delivery date (ordered 1/5/16). The last email from Custom RV said:

"They are really back logged from the delay in production when they moved plants. They did not anticipate how much down time the move would cause, so now they are playing catch up."

I'm still hoping for delivery around July, but after reading your experience, maybe it will get delivered under my Christmas tree this year!

Keep us updated on your progress, and good luck!

Default TM delivered today and promptly returned

I called Trailmanor this morning and learned the 2922KD I ordered was being delivered to my dealer this morning. I called my dealer and he confirmed it was delivered and suggested I sit down. He said after he did a visual inspection he refused to take delivery and told the drivers to take it back. He told me the build quality was at best very poor (my words, his were a little more descriptive) not even close to the Trailmanor quality he was used to and knew I would have refused to take possession as well. For $35K one should expect at the very least above average construction. I thanked him for being proactive and saving me 400 miles of driving tomorrow. I'm not sure what's going to happen now, I guess I'll wait to hear what Bob wants to do.

I am very sorry to hear this news. It's hard to understand why Bob would have not done the Quality inspection himself, given the runaround you have been given on this.

You have been very patient, and I commend you for that, but it's time for them to step up and get this right for you, whatever it takes. Anything less then that at this point really no longer makes sense.

Good luck in the resolution and please keep us posted ...
