Another interesting camper (if you can call it that) is the Earth Roamer. We camped next to one at Devils Tower, Wyoming, and are they ever slick! Those of you who want to really get out into the wild all need one of these....the cost is a mere $1 Million or so. The one we saw weighed 16,000 lbs. and had 1,000W in solar on the roof. The owners had no plans to go to the interior of Africa, although they certainly could! They told us that they get a surprising 16 MPG most of the time....the camper is on an F650 Ford truck body.
