Happy New Year 2015 from Joshua Tree.....yesterday the snow was a few flakes. 22 deg this morning and plenty of solar yesterday to keep the heater running.

Same, Happy New Year to everyone as well. No freezing temps in GA/FL today, but cool with lows in the 30's. Main problem is mud everywhere due to all the rain. Mama not too happy with stuff tracked into the house.

I wish so badly that we could be there! I love Joshua Tree, there's so much to see there. We had a bad summer. In July, I fell down taking a walk at lunch, broke my right arm and left kneecap, and then DH had to have a hip replaced in October. We got him a new 4 wheel walker Friday and went out to Pt. Lobos today, did a little bit of walking around. We're making progress but at our age it takes time. We usually take a TM trip in January but this year it's not going to happen..

2015 is surely going to be a better year for us!

Default Aging campers

Understand the feeling. When we left our beloved Pulltite Campground last June after our 50th year of camping there, I cried all the way out to the main highway---and I was driving. DH has Parkinson's and we couldn't have celebrated our 59th wedding anniversary, 81st birthdays and 50 years of camping at Pulltite if our two sons and families hadn't helped us set up and dear, kind young neighbors helped us take down. We will dearly miss trips with our TM. We are hopeful that our sons and families will make good use of it. [ Perhaps they'll invite us as guests.] Enjoy your TMs for as long as you can.
