Possible Pay Pal hack
Has anybody had a problem with there Debit Card or Credit Card after using Pay Pal. I ask because the card I used to subscribe to the TrailManor Owners Forum was hacked about 2 weeks after I used my card here, and the charge that I caught today was put through by Pay Pal. This is the Third time I had a card hacked after a purchase using Pay Pal.

I too had a problem after using PayPal last week , needed to get a new number for card after someone went crazy on my card! Fortunately card fraud division caught it and canceled the transactions.
I guess it is the price we pay for convinence !

Pay Pal hack
TrailManorMan,
Luckily I signed up for the 3 year subscription and I won't have to worry about it till then, but I'm afraid if this Forum is still using PayPal then, I won't renew.
Like I said earlier this will be the third time this has happened using PayPal.
Luckily I caught it and no harm was done. I told the Bank if they find the person I will prosecute.

You can also send Chris a check instead of using Paypal:

PayPal hack
B_and_D,
Thanks for that info, What's a check, you mean people still use those? LOL
Heck, I haven't used a check in a couple of years and I haven't ordered checks in 4 years and still have 200 checks left from that order.

I think it was PayPal having an issue not this site as I haven't used it here for over a year, maybe two.
Hackers are unfortunately everywhere......

PayPal issue
TrailManorMan
I agree with you, it is a PayPal issue, but you know the old saying, third times the charm, yea right.
I'm not blaming Chris or Trailmanor it's definitely PayPal because when I use my card I use it as a credit card and don't go through a third party like PayPal. This was the first time I've done it in 3 years and that time was with PalPal also, and guess what same result. Even when my DW and I go out, the card never leaves my hand.

For what it is worth, I set up a debit account just for those types of transactions and keep very low fund amounts in it. So, if I ever have a big hack, they can enjoy at most a movie and popcorn....I move money into it if I need to pay more than normal, otherwise, it is quite minimal.

+2 never an issue with PP online transactions. But I always change the payment type to a credit card. For some reason PP always wants to debit my checking account. But now I will be watching my statement closer.
