I don't think I would want to travel with a cat that would drink most of a 54-oz bowl of water!

Default Pets and Big Bend National Park

Has anyone take their dog or cat to Big Bend National Park in Texas? I would imagine that the rules are the same for any national park for that matter. What was your experience like? Did it workout with all of the restrictions involved?

Default Yes Chay

This spring we took our dog to Big Bend. He is very good in the TM or the back seat of the truck. There are no trails in the national Park where he is allowed. But some areas around the park and in the state park are dog friendly. On some of our hikes he would stay in the parking lot with one of us, there were four so we switched off. We stayed at Big Bend Resorts and they were very friendly towards dogs. Leash laws were there but if the dog was well behaved they could be off the leash.

You must be using an Apple product. Somehow Apple's OS is incompatible with the forum software. Apple products also tend to rotate pictures, and show them to you sideways - something about the picture's metadata. Windows and Android work just fine.

Yes , an apple phone. It does the same thing on another forum that I belong to.

Good grief, Mecicon, I hope you don't expect us to laugh at that! Groan, yes. But no laugh.

With two Labs we're BLM campers. These dogs need a lot of room to roam. National Forest dispersed is adequate.
