We also have a Vizsla--well actually, we have two. We used to tent camp, but our babies just did not accept the tent as home. Once it started getting dark, they would want to go into the car...then out of the car because we weren't inside...then back in the car....back out....
We now have a TM and have gone on our first camping trip. The dogs LOVE the camper! I would attach a photo, but can't figure out how to do that.

Cool Thanks for your help

Need help if you can, one of my hunting dogs was entered in a "Good Dog" photo contest and he needs some votes.

Here is the link to vote and you can vote once every 24 hours on each device.

The 2015 Good Dog Photo Contest | Garden and Gun

http://bit.ly/1VhdCGc

Garden and Gun magazine is an upscale southern living magazine covering, food, hunting (quail), and travel primarily in the south.

Thanks in advance.

mecicon, before I vote for your dog, let me know he is worthy of my vote. ;-)

What do you hunt over him? (Woodcock? Quail?)
Does he hunt close to you, or range beyond shooting range?
Does he respond to your commands?
Does he get antsy as soon as you hit the gravel roads in your hunting area?
Does he accept the other hunters in your group (dogs or people)?

I love to hunt, and love dogs. I have hunted with some that I could not cast a vote for a "good dog", even though they are lovable out of the field. Let us know (s)he is worthy, and I will be happy to vote. A picture would also help. I don't want to be voting for some ugly, mangy dog.

Does he hunt close to you, or range beyond shooting range? If he hunted out of range I would leave him at home (I have three others)
Does he respond to your commands? Yes
Does he get antsy as soon as you hit the gravel roads in your hunting area? Yes, as soon as I turn off the main road
Does he accept the other hunters in your group (dogs or people)? Yes

Curious George "RIO" won the Vizsla Nationals in '05 when he was 13 months old, he has traveled far and wide. He is "steady to wing and shot" and retrieves both stuffed toys and fallen game. Rio has won in the show ring and in all-breed field trials.

In two weeks he will be making yet another trip to SoDak for ringnecks, prairie chickens and possibly geese (If I can wake up at 3:30 AM).

The fourth picture is the one in the contest.

Mark, you've got some good looking dogs there. The entry photo looks like a real contender. I'll cast a vote your way. Good luck.
