The above post brings me sadness as we just recently had to put down our Border Collie, Lucky.
He unexpectedly entered our lives 11 years ago and was the most endearing, sweetest natured dog I have ever known. It is amazing what a large hole is left in your heart when you must part with a treasured pet.

Mark, you have my deepest sympathy. It's been over eight years now since I had to put down my lab, Corky. She was my first dog and was a pound puppy. She was sick the first three days I had her, throwing up in her crate multiple times a day for three days, and I wondered what I had gotten myself into. Boy was that a bonding moment.

10 years later, the day I had to put her out of her misery was probably the hardest day of my life. Even harder than when my Dad died a month and a half earlier. So I know what you are going thru. Again you have my deepest sympathy.

We call that the thermometer. The warmer it is, the more they stretch out.

One single flush. We were very tired.
That is why it is called hunting and not murder.
