Default Gas Prices

Today Sam's in Orlando is $2.97/gal for 87. Are prices dropping elsewhere ? We are usually a bit higher than surrounding states.

I remember that being for premium and oil was $2.50 a barrel from ARAMCO. I also remember getting paid $500/mo. and a new Camaro with V8, 4speed, and a/c was $3k.

SoCal gas is $3.52 gal. I remember being outraged in the late 60's/early 70's when gas hit $.50 gal. Ahhh... the good old days

One year ago I paid more for my new truck than I did for my first house in 1973. Three bedroom/two & half baths was $42K. Truck was $44K OTD.

We just completed our twice-a-year cross-country relocation. Lots of Interstate Highway travel.
Cheapest gas seen was $2.799 on I-25 just north of Sante Fe, NM.
Cheapest gas purchased was $2.899 on I-70, somewhere in eastern Missouri, I think.

Most expensive gas seen? You guessed it - anywhere in New York was well above $3.50, with Connecticut a close second.

GasBuddy (a worthwhile app if ever there was one) says that all prices have come down in the weeks since we went through the east.

According to gasbuddy.com, Sam's in NE Albuquerque has regular at $2.689.

I remember gas wars in the early 70s in NW NM at 17.9 cents per gallon. That was before self-serve.
Minimum wage (my pay) at the time was $1.60 an hour.
