Question Strange user fees while camping

Thought we would start a thread on strange fees you have run into while camping.

Here are the two most recent we ran into.

Everglades NP: $3 per kayak or canoe if used within the park.

Hoosier NF: bicyclists 17 years old and older $5 per bike per person for use within a campground or trail. An annual pass is available for $35 per person.

Post what unusual or strange fees you have run into while camping.

Default Minimum Wage Hike = New Fees or Shutdowns?

I found the below linked site when keeping up with impacts from the Gov Shutdown a few months ago. The linked site represents the viewpoint of one campground mngt company that contracts to operate campgrounds in 4 or 5 states out west including California.

In the below link, he describes why his company will shutdown some (all?) of their California campgrounds due to California's 2$ minimum wage increase.

I expect that campground operators everywhere, if so impacted, will be increasing and/or putting in place new fees as a result or will be shutting down campgrounds. In any case, my guess is that campground maintenance will suffer, but jmo.

Which is why I am going to find a couple of companies to invest in - those that make blood-pressure medicine. Mine goes out of control every time the government makes a change to "help the little people"!
