Default Wild weather!!

AS WE ALL HAVE DEALT WITH SOME WILD WEATHER OVER THE PAST YRS, FROM RAIN TO STORMS TO DROUGHT,HEAT AND SO ON, I JUST THOUGHT WE COULD HAVE A THREAD SO WE ALL CAN SHARE WHAT IT HAPPENING IN OUR LITTLE PART OF OUR OWN WORLD.

SINCE MON, WE HAVE HAD OVER 5 INCH OF RAIN AND AND 1 TO 2 MORE INCH THUR BEFORE IT TURNS TO HEAVY WET SNOW, WITH UP TO 8 -12 INCHS BY MIDNITE THUR. IN THE MOUNTAINS,
LETS JUST SAY ALL THE STREAMS AND RIVERS ARE WAY UP. IF SOMEONE DOWN ON THE GULFCOAST COULD PLZ SHUT THE VALVE OFF , WE SAY UNCLE NOW!!

We've had some really cold nights here, 23.7 on Monday night, way colder than the 27.3 low last January, and the days have been around 50 (but this is CA, so we're spoiled). We spent 6 nights in Pismo last week and it was way colder than our two previous January trips; just getting from the TM to the hot tub at night was torturous, we were at the very back of the RV park and it was a long way to run in flip flops and bathing suits in the cold! We had to run the ceramic heater all night long. We've had more rain this winter than usual, but it's been dry for over a week and supposed to reach the mid 60's over the weekend! It poured one night at Pismo, kept me awake in the TM for a few hours with it beating on the roof. People here are talking about "one bucket" vs. "two bucket" windshield frost removal methods of hot water poured onto their windshields in the morning....one bucket just adds more frost, the second bucket is supposed to remove it. Luckily, my car is in the garage so I don't have to worry about that.

BTW the big news around Santa Cruz today is that Maverick's surf contest is going off this weekend, I think it starts on Sunday. We've had a couple of weekends of "king tides" where it gets really high and really low. We love walking on the beach at low tide. Every time we go to Pismo we drive on the beach at least once because we can't believe that you can still legally do that here in CA. We were standing on the beach one evening watching the sunset and talking about having the benefit of bringing our 4 x 4 truck along with the TM, and that we couldn't bring our Prius to the beach, when just seconds later a light green Prius drove past us on the beach.

How cold is it in Utah?

It's so cold that the gun rights and gun control advocates can't even get a heated discussion started.

It's so cold here that only little boys with names like Al or Ed are writing their names in the snow.

It's so cold here that the flashers are only describing themselves.

That's how cold it is.

Didn't get any rain from that bad weather that went trough Tn; but the temps are better. It was 80 before lunch and finally dropped to the mid 60's where it should be.
