I was not expecting our new avatar to generate comments/questions and to keep from mucking up the other thread with too much off-topic stuff i will talk about it here.

Our avatar was created by starting with an original high detail color photograph of our TM sitting in our driveway. I used a piece of software called PhotoS to convert it to a line drawing. I had to do the conversion many times with different settings until i got a somewhat satisfactory drawing. Then i did a manual edit in the same software, removing some lines and adding others. Then i shrank the drawing to get it to avatar size.

No magic here, most anything is possible with the right software.

I thought it was a cool sketch, but my DH said it was most likely done with software. Thanks for sharing the info behind the avatar! Still, pretty cool!

You can do the same thing with Photoshop Elements.
