I tried re-caulking numerous times. Finally took it to the factory, and they took off the awning and put a large plastic panel about 3'x7.5' across the roof above the door. And re-caulked big chunks of the roof with a 3M caulk like the 4200.
Maybe there was something about the way the awning was warping the thin side panel above the door?
Anyway, it's fixed and has been no problem for the last 9 months.
