Smile CA-88 the GOOD (Plasses' Resort)

Water only (no electric, and you'll have to tow to the dump station). But it's nice and flat, lots of grass, with a very pretty store. Restaurant looks OK, but wasn't open for sniffing or looking when we took our quick look and asked questions. website www.plassesresort.com.

You'll see, on their map, that most of their short-term RV and tent sites are on the other side of a ford (foot bridges aren't for vehicles). So, they can't open this area until the water goes down some, wet years like this one had a slow start. This area has lots of trees. But, depending on how many full-season and group reservations they have, there are often other spots available in the "shoulder" season. (We were looking the week after labor day, and it was quite open. But we were looking on a Tuesday.)

The group area, and the horse area, are free of trees, so Solar-equiped TMs would be A+ in those spots.
