Drawtite Intella Stop Ultra is the same as Tekonsha Prodigy

The correct name for the controller he's recommending is Intella-Stop Ultra. It's sold by Drawtite. Drawtite and Tekonsha are two brand names of the same parent holding company. The Drawtite Intella-Stop Ultra is absolutely identical to the Tekonsha Prodigy. What I suspect your dealer was trying to tell you is the Intella Stop Ultra and Prodigy are exactly the same controller. It's similar to the Odyssey controller in that both use solid state accelerometers to measure tow vehicle deceleration.
Prodigy controllers are available on line from $95 up to around $150. If your dealer can meet a price of around $110 or less, buy this unit from him....if not, just go online and order a Prodigy.
