Default Soon to be new owner 1990 M-26 TM

After reading these forums, I put money down on an entry level TM from a local RV dealer. It was good to know what to look for before making the leap. Once they prep her, we should have her in the driveway next week. You may be hearing from me alot.

I certainly hope we hear from you a lot. I think you'll love your new toy.

TOY?? I had to convince the missus that our TM was going to be a useful tool......to repair my sanity. And now she agrees.

It's official...my new 'toy' is in the driveway!! Thanks Bill for all your efforts in the Technical Reference Library! Well done. Arizona sounds like a good place to be right now!! Looks like the 'in the driveway' was the easy part. I've decided on a Prodigy for the brakes so far. Split between Mckesh and after market slide-outs for mirrors and looking into WDH's available in my area. I will definitely check and grease the bearings before going anywhere. Looking forward to getting acquainted with our new member of the family.

If you are towing with a 1997 Silverado, you may not need a WDH. I have a 2002 Silverado 1500HD and I have never used a WDH. The factory advised me not to.

Somewhere around a standard 1500 truck you do not need a WDH, but you would with a smaller TV.

I have nothing against a WDH. It is a perfectly good solution to a particular problem. But, if you do not have that problem then you do not need that solution. Some people may disagree with me, but I agree with the TM factory and I have 21 trips for 7500 successful miles of experience.

We had a big discussion on this topic recently (last month or so). If you missed it it should be easy to find.
