I considered Mckesh, but was concerned about the straps. Besides, the Areo just looks better on my TV.

I was only patient because it was boating season so no trips planned. If we had a trip planned I would have purchased from RVUpgrades because they are worth the $$$$'s even without the deal.
I had already spent too much on others anyway that didn't work well thru even one trip.
As some have said the Aero's are probably not the best fit for every TV but I am sure they will fit quite a few. I also like things that don't look out of place on my LandRover.

Flat or Convex?
I want to order the Milenco's but RV Upgrades doesn't specify flat glass or convex! What did you get? I prefer the flat for right and left sides!

I have convex for both. The curvature isn't that severe and I like the additional viewing angle. In looking at the Milenco website I don't see that they come as mixed sets. It would take an email to RV Upgrades, but I would lay odds that they are shipping the convex mirrors.
Now having said I like the convex mirrors, it does make judging distances to that car beside me a bit more fun. I am still considering a rear view camera for those times when the road gets too crowded.

OK--so here's da deal (as I understand it!). JR Products, who imports the milenco mirrors, says that due to "regulations" they cannot import the flat mirrors. I was ready to say that mine were flat, but when I layed a straight edge on them, sure enuf, they are ever so slightly convex. This might be a case of "don't know what I'm missing if I never had it" but to my eye they work fine on both sides. If it's important to you, you might check to see if Mckesh's are restricted by the same regulations.

My McKesh are flat. I have the add on spot mirrors on both sides.
I mostly use the spots to watch traffic coming onto the freeway.
My GMC has builtin fixed spots at the bottom. I do the same thing with them. Everything else I can see in the main mirror.
The only value I can see in a rear view camera is to watch a tailgator. If they are not tail gating then I can see them in my mirrors.

I was able to order the flat Aero 2's from the UK ( [email protected]) and their ebay site! It was $100. versus $92. but I am getting what I wanted! I'll give a full review when I get them and how well they work on my 4Runner!
PS: I have a pair of CIPA Slide on tow mirrors that fit all GMC and Chevy Trucks and SUV's w/OE mirrors for $25. + Shipping!

Im not sure what glass style I have but for my use I still use factory mirrors for my blind Spot so there has been no need for adding anything to the Aero's.
Maybe Im doing something wrong but using both mirrors works for me.

On my Ford F-150 I have the folding mirrors. The glass is flat so I added a little round convex mirror to each one to view my blind spot, especially on the passenger side.
I use the slide on CIPA mirrors, (Camping World), for towing. I can get away with the stock mirrors, but the slide on's are wide enough to allow me to view cars behind the trailer.

I hate the little stick on mirrors! On My Silverado, I loved having the slide on CIPA Mirrors but with My New 4Runner I will have to make do with the Milenco Grand Aeros. With them in place, I have no "Blind Spots"!
