Default Television

Our TM came with the tv mounted in the wall, backside of bath, even with the over sink cabinet.
We don't use it,doesn't work.
I hate looking at the stupid thing, drives me nuts.
My question is,has anyone taken these out ? How hard is it to get out ? How to fix the hole in the wall ? I can always wallpaper that wall to cover whatever is used to fix the wall. I was thinking maybe light weight foam board could fill the hole.

Thanks

You have a 2007 TM, so I'm thinking it predates the factory installation of the Fahrenheit system. Am I right? If so, the setup you have was installed by "someone", but not by the factory. If you have patience, and are willing to follow some wires and make some drawings and answer a bunch of questions, I bet the collective wisdom of the group here can get it running for you.

On the off chance that you have the original Fahrenheit system from the factory, I will say that a LOT of people had trouble with it. I think a lot of it turned out to be cockpit error, caused by the fact that the "cockpit" is very non-intuitive, and the printed directions are terrible.

You might review the Appliances Forum (where this thread belongs and where I will move it), and also send off a PM to Shandysplace. Sharon and Andy worked through a lot of it. I bet you don't have to resort to the drastic steps you are contemplating.

I have this system in my 2008. It will not pick up the current digital signals that are broadcast, it was made for the analog signals that are no more.

I use a digital converter to receive over the air broadcast.

Now if it wont work playing dvd's either, I had to rewire my whole system.

The antenna was wired into the wrong place on the splitter, the rest of the cables were either not even connected or connected to the wrong inputs / outputs also.

As well as the cables themselves either not being hooked up right or the ends not being crimped on correctly and just falling off when I wiggled them.

After rewiring the whole system, re-crimping numerous ends it now works well.
