Insurance quotes 2010

Well, I officially am a member now. Just joined.

I did locate a used TrailManor 2619 that I am purchasing next week. It is a 2006 for $13,000 (not a bargain I know) I have been calling for insurance quotes and getting much higher rates than I expected for a $13,000 replacement policy with $250 deductible. I was quoted $549 plus another $7.00 for roadside assistance. This seems awfully high for so little coverage. That quote is from GMAC through Camping World. Progressive insurance company was a little higher and my insurance company where I have all my insurance on home, vehicles etc.was about the same as GMAC. The only advantage to GMAC was that you can put a hold on it (the collision part) when you are not using it. Don't know how practical that is, as I live in Florida and don't have weather restrictions here.

Anyone else care to share their "current" insurance costs with me, as the threads that have been previously posted are getting on the older side. Maybe it's higher here because I am in Florida. But come to think about it, don't know if insurance would cover it due to hurricane damage, so not sure if that should be a factor. Any Floridians out there?
