Default 10 nights/ 11 days in a TM w/ 7 people

We did it!!!! We took our 4 ( 5,13,15,18) kids plus a friend(18 year old) with us for 11 days in our TM. We all slept in there and survived the trip. We only moved the TM 3 times but we had plenty of hands to do it.

We started our trip in Pardeeville, WI at the Indian Trails campground, it was Christmas in July and we won 3rd place in the decorating contest. We stayed in Pardeeville for 3 nights. This is a great family campground. It has a indoor pool, swimming beach, private fishing lake, shuffleboard, horseshoes, minigolf, activities and all sites are water/electric sites.

Then we moved 30 minutes north to Montello WI and Kilby Lake campground. This campground is NOT TM friendly. The interior roads where horrible. There was sand laying all over and tree roots just waiting to grab the sewer lines. My husband had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive to get to and from our site. There were weeds growing all round the site edge( including poison ivy). We only stayed there 2 nights. All the kids wanted to go back to Indian Trails again.

So we went back to Indian Trails and spent the rest of our vacation there. We went to the Wisconsin Dells for a couple day trips, as this is only 30 minutes away from the campground. We had a great family vacation.

If anyone is wondering how we could possibly sleep all those people in our TM here is our set up. 1st we own a 3326 that is missing the reclining chairs(we bought it used and they were gone). 2 KIDS sleep on a double air mattress on the living room floor. 2 KIDS sleep on the fold out couch and one sleeps on our dinette bed. And of course we have our King size bed to ourselves!!!! Our oldest son was away at college when we bought our TM last fall and he was amazed at how it folds down and gets so small(26ft). He just stood there in amazement the 1st time we folded it down. We did have to use 2 extreme coolers for drinks and extra meat. We did limit potty use to night time use only so it would last with out dumping till we left. Showers were also taken at the shower houses.

I'm sorry we don't have any digital pictures to show you our great vacation.

It sounds like you had a great vacation! I've always wondered about the Wisconsin Dells, we watch the 70's Show all the time, and they always talk about going up to "The Dells". I looked it up on the internet and it looks like there are a lot of nice campgrounds there. Too bad it's so far away from us.

It must've been a challenge to get all 7 people in that TM...sometimes I go crazy when there are just 2 people inside and I'm trying to find something, or clean, or cook, or get dressed, so I just end up going outside to chill for a while until they get done and then I tell them to stay out!

When I was 12 my mom took me to visit my dad's side of the family in Cumberland, where my grandma lived. I loved it, but have never been able to go back (so far). There was a lake with a nice swimming beach and a diving platform. It has probably changed so much since then.

We also just got back from a 10 night, 11 day trip, and it was a great family vacation too. We are enjoying our TM more and more (except when we had to change our blown out tire on the side of the road)! I can LOL now, that it's over! Fortunately, we had enough fun to make up for that episode and ended up with nice new tires.

Can you chat on Tuesday night? I'd love to hear more about your camping trip.

D'
