Default Vent cover attachment question

Considering the TM roof vent have a metal riser attached, how would I go about attaching a vent cover to it? Based on the install videos from e-trailer I see that all the brackets assume the vet have no risers and are attached directly to the roof. Anyone have pictures on what they did to modify the bracket or what they used as a custom substitute?

Not clear what you mean by "vent cover". Do you mean that your vent cover is broken and you need a replacement or are you referring to the type in this picture?

That one doesn't screw to the roof. It has small brackets that attach to the "metal riser" that you are referring to. It doesn't actually touch the roof.

Yes, sorry for the confusion, but the video shows what appears to be the actual frame that the vent lid is attached to, it is level with the roof. See video for reference:
https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Vents-an...FVU1500WH.html

Whereas the TM has a sheet metal frame, or riser, in which the frame of the vent lid frame is attached to. The lid frame is not level with the roof, (does not rest on the roof as in the video, but instead rest or is level with the top of the riser).
