Default New to TM

Hi

Just joined the ranks with a used TM 19RD. Just my wife and i will be traveling so we went with a small unit. Towing vehicle is a 2022 Maverick.

Just picked it up sight unseen and was a little disappointed with the dealership. Needless to say, we did get it for a decent price but the prior owner was less than clean. We are replacing ALL cushions and drapes and doing a complete upgrade on everything. Luckily, I have time to do the work myself.

A lot of minor issues, but also a few major owns. Lock down lathes were broken and the water system leaked like a sieve.

Has anyone replaced the vinyl floor on any model and what was the replacement material.

Thanks in advance,

Welcome aboard! We're glad to have you with us.

As for the floor, many of our members have replaced the flooring, and with many different materials. Go through the Interior forum for the last 5 years (I know, I know) and you will find a lot of info.

Again, thanks for joining us.

Bill

Welcome! When you get a chance, please post pictures of your trailer because those are so rare and it would be cool to see yours! Especially before and after pictures.

Default Floor Replacement

I replaced mine last year using the tongue and groove waterproof residential stuff from Home Depot. Worked great.

Not an easy job, mainly taking the floor without taking anything else you don't want to go. I was the same way, fortunately family wasn't a smoker family. I would have had to get my money back, nasty stuff that smoke.

Anyway I've been a DIY person all my life but took to a professional shop and had it done. Whew, glad I didn't tackle. But you are probably a lot better than I and somewhere on this forum I have seen people who did attack it myself although he did take to a pro at the end to finish. Best of luck to you and GOD bless, he is in control of all things of our lives !!!

Welcome aboard!

Just like my old Ford Ranger, the Ford Maverick's baseline towing capacity is disappointingly small. Presumably your Maverick has the optional towing package, which gets the tow rating up to 4000 pounds or so?
