Default 12 Volt ceiling light rubbing on rear shell roof

i have searched the forum and didn't find an answer to this problem. On my 2009 2720 SL, there are 4, 12 volt ceiling lights by the 2 roof vents. When closed and traveling, they rub on the roof of the rear shell. The lenses are scratched and the paint is off the roof in those areas. Is my rear shell too high when closed, or my front shell too low? What controls how far the front shell comes down (besides my lights :-) )? - the rear shell has bumpers.
Thank you in advance for any info on this topic
