Default Awning won't stay closed

I have a 2010 Trail Mini 18D and I've never opened the awning, but it looks like one of the latches broke and now it won't close all the way and a piece of rubber that looks like it should be under the edge is coming out. I'm afraid to drive it anywhere to get it looked at because I think the awning will roll out and cause some damage.

Can the clips be replaced? Would a mobile RV repair person be able to fix it?

Any suggestions, info on where to buy the parts, info on how to fix is welcome.

I tried using duct tape to hold it in place while moving it the last time, but now that won't stick and I need to figure out how to get it and the tape residue off without damaging the trailer.

The red tab indicates the awning is not locked in place. Check the other end of the awning - does the red tab hang down? If not then that end is locked in place. From your photos, I am not seeing anything broken or in need of replacement. See if this technical library post helps:

It might help us better if you would show us a picture of the whole awning from a little farther back. I have a feeling that your awning legs may not be stowed properly.

Only one end locks in, that's the problem. I don't think it's the legs because I have never put the awning out, I'm missing the hook thing to open it and I haven't really needed it yet. It was fully locked in place when I got it. I'm thinking the red clip thing might be broken since it won't latch into place.

Any suggestions on if I could get parts and fix it myself?

Default Photos of back

I went and took photos of the back of the trailer showing the awning not closed.

Any help with how to get this fixed would be appreciated.

I want to know how they wired the running lights to the end of the awning. I’d love to have permanent lights on the awning.
