Default Dometic fridge: How to remove burner shield?

In the process of troubleshooting my fridge that works on AC, and lights, but does not cool, on gas.

After removing the first sheet metal shield, I am faced with this shield over the burner. I removed the screw that you see sticking out at the top, and the shield became loose, but I could not pull the shield away from the burner. (I did not want to use a lot of force.)

Visibility is limited, but it looks like the flue pipe might go down through the top of this shield. Do you have to pull the flue up? Or is there another, hidden screw?

Would really appreciate hearing from someone who's done this.

Are you sure it's a dometic? I thought TM used norcold? I have cleaned a dometic fridge burner before, It has been a while. Many years ago. I'm sure I did not have to take off the flue. I do remember having issue getting that wind deflector off.

I could be wrong about this. But it seemed to me there was a tab on back right side that had a slight bend. Kinda acting like a hinge until I I pulled the left side straight out about 20-30 degrees. I remember having to pry up on the flue a little to clear some interference. IT was a PIA

Yes, I am sure it is a Dometic. Our trailer is a 2001, they used Dometic back then. Thanks for the tip, I will check it out.

We have a Dometic refrigerator, as well as a Dometic air conditioner in our 2013 unit. TM tends to use whatever they can get, it appears.

Sorry we can't help with your problem, but we've not had any issues.....yet. I'm sure that it is only a matter of time, now that we are in our third season. (Bought a new 2013 unit, but in 2014).
