Default Appliance Problems

Hi all ... I have a 1986 2214 that I bought used, and have no manual. I am having trouble getting the refrigerator, water heater and heating unit to work. I can't seem to get the pilot light to work on the water heater and no heat comes out of the heater. The blower works when the thermostat is set to the desired temp, but no heat.

Also the fridge does not get cold. I can hear gas moving in the lines, I have replaced the fan, and still nothing.

I was wondering if there is a gas sensor that would stop the appliance from working. The stove works so I know that there is gas flowing from the tanks.

I would also love to find a manual for this model or one around the same time frame.

Sorry for the long post, but I am getting ready for a new season and would like to have some things fixed prior.

Scott

I don't know anything about the 1986 model, so let me ask a few questions.

1. Re the refrig. Is it intended to operate only on gas, or is it a two-way (gas or 120VAC) or three way (gas or 120VAC or 12VDC) unit? If two way or three-way, does it chill when operated from one of the electrical sources? What is the manufacturer and model number? Have you gone to the manufacturer's web site? You may be able to find and download the Installation and/or User manuals.

2. Re the water heater. Is it intended to operate only on gas, or is it a two-way (gas or 120VAC) unit? If two way, does it heat when operated from the electrical source? What is the manufacturer and model number? Have you gone to the manufacturer's web site? You may be able to find and download the Installation and/or User manuals.

3. Re the furnace. What is the manufacturer and model number? Have you gone to the manufacturer's web site? You may be able to find and download the Installation and/or User manuals.

Give us a little more info to work with, and we can probably help on all three - they are not too complex.
