FamilyFun and Eric -
I can't recommend a specific air conditioner shop in Phoenix, since I have never had the pleasure of using any of them. But wen my left TM brake quit, I was reasonably pleased with East Valley RV Specialists, 10020 E Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ. As I recall, it was a bit hard to find, as the street names change in that area.
I agree that there is no reason to go to Tucson. Most RV appliances, including your A/C, are standard across the industry, and any competent shop can repair them. And if I understand correctly, all of the TM appliances are covered by the manufacturers' warranties, not TM's.
May I ask why you need an A/C repair? In other words, what is wrong? What are the symptoms? I ask because the A/C failed on my 2002 TM. It suddenly began to smell very hot, and stopped cooling. I took it to a local RV shop, and they assured me it had to be replaced, though they wouldn't tell me what was wrong. It was under warranty, so I wasn't too upset, except that it took 6 weeks to get the work done during the busy season. I found out later that this failure is almost always due to a failed starting capacitor in the compressor motor. A $10 part and a half hour labor.
So if that is the failure you are experiencing, you can at least sound a bit knowledgable when you take it in for diagnosis.
