Default Trap Antifreeze

Reading thru the TM owner's guide they write that you may add anti-freeze to the drain traps when winterizing, but it is not necessary, the traps are not damaged when frozen.

I have always used anti-freeze, but is it necessary?

I don't know if it is necessary, but I never thought it worth risking finding out.

Default RV Antifreeze

I assume from your post that you are using regular antifreeze.

I wouldn't use automobile antifreeze (poison to both pets and humans), when RV antifreeze (nontoxic) is readily available. Got a case for use with our pop-up camper, then traded the popup for our TrailManor. Haven't needed to use any antifreeze, since gravity-draining systems works fine.

Already looking forward to next years camping season!

Let's look at it this way. If TM said you don't need it, and so you didn't use it, and your traps froze and broke, then TM would be hit by a ton of warranty repairs from you and everyone else. I don't think they're dumb enough to invite that.
