That's probably not a bad guess. At the height of the pandemic, the factory nearly shut down because they couldn't get a lot of what they needed. I recall Paul telling me that stoves, refrigerators, air conditioners, raw aluminum stock for the skins, and tires were largely unavailable, and they were building with whatever they could get. Paul wanted to keep the factory running and the workers busy, so at one point, they were doing partial builds - they had plenty of frames and axles - and shoving them off in a corner until they could get parts to finish the builds.

A 2021 model would have been built in late 2020 or the first half of 2021. I checked The Wayback Machine for November 2020 and July 2021, and the specs for a 3124 say only that the tires are 15" radials. No mention of different tires either as standard or options.

So Trilemma, can you tells us what tires you have? Maker and size are molded into the sidewall.

Well I’ll be damned. Just spoke to TM, they do indeed use 225/75R15-E tires. They use that higher range tire so the tire load capacity slightly exceeds the axle load capacity of 5200lbs. There were a few units with 80psi labels, they have since changed the spec to 65-70psi.

So I suspect the higher inflation and heavier tires are not the cause of the rubbing, even moreso now.
