Default New tires

Pulled the wheels off and went to town for new tires today.
Another unknown brand from China. These are Freestar m 108 225/75 E load range ST's. May have gone down hill, load rating the same as the last unknown from China; but we went from a speed N, 87mph tire to an J, 62 mph tire.
About 62 is what we do anyways. Just can't find any info on line. Amazon reviews are good, all others bad.

Red face Your Fearless!

Man when it comes to tires, you should never scrimp. I bought Maxxis last time and have not regretted it one bit. I don't think I'll ever buy anything else. Even my new tires that are 16"ers are Maxxis. I paid a lot for them, but peace of mind is priceless! You are a brave man scrubjaysnest!. I hope these work well for you and last a long time! So, do you have a weight distribution hitch? If not maybe you should invest in one. Take a look at the Sway-Pro by Blue Ox. Its saved my guts when my tire blew! Can you feel the love?

With a 500# plus tongue wt; a wdh is the only to go. When we peeled a tread in NM on the Marathon we coasted to a stop in a straight line. The Maxxis seems to be popular here, but not so much over on the RV.net forums.
The big thing we have found is watch your air pressure, keep your speed below the tire rating, and change to new ones at 4 years.
Since these have a 62 MPH max speed limit we will drop back from 62 to about 57 mph.
