Default Camping Checklist

We are scheduled to pick up our 2007 2720 SL this Tuesday. We'll do our last walk through and off we go. Also have scheduled our first camping trip to Fort DeSoto for two nights. I know it will take time for us to know what we need to take with us BUT if anyone has a generic checklist or suggestions for our first camping 'event' with our trailmanor - please send them our way. Besides my wife and I we will also have our faithful companion - our dog Boone with us. Again thank you all for all the wonderful help and suggestions in purchasing our TM. WIsh us luck!

Tom -

As noted last time you mentioned it, there are two very good checklists in the TM Reference Library (aka TM Info You Won't Find Anywhere Else). One is the original granddaddy checklist from Ed Felker, and it is great. The other is from Mike and Kelly, and is very much more comprehensive.

Check them out! I think they'll answer your need, but post back if they don't.

Bill,
I wasn't able to open up either file. Is there another way I can retrieve them.

Tom -

Hmmm. Are you having trouble downloading them? Or opening them once they are downloaded?

Both download fine for me. Ed Felker's list is in a zip file format, so you have to unzip it. I think that Windows XP (and forward) include an unzip program - when you are done downloading, just double-click the zip file. Or you can download an unzipper such as WinZip for free.

For Mike and Kelly's, go to TMphotos.org - the PDF document is on the opening page, third paragraph. You can download it from there, and of course you must have the Adobe reader (free from Adobe.com) to read it.

If you really can't get them in and open, let me know by PM and I will try to email them to you.

If you take your dog with you, you may want to buy some wrap-around rug covers for the trailer steps. Several dog owners have reported having their dogs get their claws caught in the holes in the steps, this could lead to a bad injury for your furry friend.

I also have a checklist that is in excel spreadsheet form, if you would like I can email it to you.

I still don't know if you can't download the files, or if you can download them but then can't open them. So I have emailed both files to you. Can you open them?

Still a 'no'. I'll have time tomorrow to check my computer out. Thanks again.

I also cannot unzip the zipped files. I open other zipped files with no problem. Would it be possible to post the file(s) unzipped? Thanks.

I'm not sure why there is so much problem with these files, since they appear perfectly normal from my end. However, ...

Ed Felker posted this in zip format because in the early days, the board had very limited storage space for attachments, and many of us used up our allotment in a hurry. However, Chris has made additional space for us, so I have unzipped and re-uploaded the file. Enjoy!
