Eternabond?

Has anyone ever used eternabond to redo the seams on their roof? I just bought a 2006 3023 and I am thinking about using this product to seal the seams. It has a 25 yr guarantee and you don't have to recaulk every two or three years.

I know the eternabond is used on rubber and vinyl roofs, but not sure how it would work on a aluminum roof.

The brochure says all metal roofs including aluiminum.

I have seen a few trailers with that system on them. It sticks like crazy and will never leak.......just be aware......how do I say this gently......

So I considered the same thing. Looking around it appears that there are aluminum backed eternabond products, perhaps that wouldnt' be so unattractive.

Ya........that's what I meant.....

Wayne has a good point there. You don't see the roofs of coventional travel trailers, but if people over 6' tall can easily look across the roof of a Trailmanor......and eternabond is not near as attractive as a good caulk job. Now, I have seen caulk jobs that would rival eternabond for being ugly.

How often does a TM require caulking?

We took deliver of your factory ordered 2005 TM 2720 in March 2005 and I have not had any problems. I have done just a little (couple of inches) of touch up.

But, it is parked in the garage out of the weather when not in use.

I inspect it very carefully every fall when I perform the annual washing and waxing.

I think there are a lot of variables. On our 2001 I've only had to caulk the tiny "awning" over the door. We use it ~30 nights a year, but it is stored inside.
