A few more questions. Do you have the 7 pin round connector on the back of your Jeep. Ask your 4WD store how many wires they ran to the connector. You did say basic wiring and a 4WD store may be used to smaller lights only trailers. If you did not get get additional coolers then there was no trailer package and hence no real trailer wiring.

Sorry for the slow follow up, but we are all set to to pick up our baby tomorrow.

First, answering a few questions above: Yes, the 4wd store was where we had the hitch and the 4-pin wiring installed. After going down to look at the TM about a week later and realizing a 7-pin connector was needed, we ordered the Prodigy and wiring kit from eTrailer, and had the camper dealer install those ($160).

We got it into the Chrysler shop after being told by the camper dealer that the whole shebang needed "activating" with the Chrysler scan tool.

According to Chrysler, they had to put a couple relays in the fuse box under the hood, and then wave the magic ScanStar to make sure the computer recognized the wiring setup ($90 parts plus labor).

As for the heavy duty cooling, we were told it's well equipped with an extra transmission cooler, and one of the guys in the shop tows problem-free with the same model.

Whew! We're learning... TMs seem to be few and far between in our area, so wanting to snap this one up put us into a frenzy of preparation.

Now we can finally focus on getting it home safely tomorrow! Thank you, maybe we'll have some pics for next login.

Thanks for the update, maybe this is the difference between getting a vehicle with the factory tow package and not. Something for us all to think about when changing TV's

When we got our new to us F150, we were told it had the towing package. When we went to tow we found everything was there but the relays and had to pay to get them.

Sorry to bring up one more thing. Maybe we were distracted by that sensor discussion.

You'll probably need a weight distributing hitch to safely tow this trailer. You didn't say how far you had to go, but I wouldn't tow mine home from the storage yard without one.

The first thing I'd try is seeing if I could buy the one from the people selling the trailer.

We are safe home!

The trip went very well, no problems - wheel bearings stayed cool, and handling was great. We stayed at 60 mph.

Very pleased with overall condition, the only interior item needing replaced is the bathtub hose/nozzle due to cracked threading unit where it attaches to tub.

We're itching to ready it for a local trip, but have to focus on another obligation this week. In the meantime we can play in the driveway!
