Closing TM b4 Trip

Was wondering if I'd run into any unforeseen problems by closing the TM the night b4, fridge on battery, fridge fan on and the TM plugged into AC power?

Can't think of anything but maybe someone knows better.
Hope I put this on the right forum.

My only concern doing it that way is that my converter has a fan inside it that will start running when the fridge is on battery and the TM is plugged into shore power. With the bathroom wall down, it substantially blocks the vents on the converter. I don't know if that would cause any issues or not, but that would be my only concern.

The fridge will be fine on the battery setting with the fan going.

My experience says that there is no problem with the converter vents being blocked. The converter's inside vents are not blocked very tightly - there is at least an inch of empty space outside the louvers, and the converter has a tiny fan that circulates the little bit of air that is needed - it is not a tornado! Beyond that, the area under the tub, where the converter lives, is pretty big, and it is vented outdoors through the floor and a 3" hole. Bottom line - I wouldn't be concerned. Just as you have said, the OP will be fine doing what he suggested.

Converter cooling was the only thing that I could think of. I seem to remember at least 1 of the forum members doing it this way and never heard of a problem. Would certainly speed the departure time. My crew, grandkids, are not what we would call the fastest.

I was looking for an easy way to test if the converter cooling fan was still operational on my TM. The instruction manual for my WFCO WF-8955AN converter provides no information about the operation of the fan. So I plugged in the TM to 120VAC shore power and selected the refrigerator to battery (12VDC). Converter cooling fan turned on! Then selected the fridge to 120VAC. Fan turned off. Seems the fan cycles on and off as a function of a 12VDC current draw (after a certain threshold is reached) and not the temperature of the converter (converter was cold during test). Very interesting. Thanks for the insight!
