My post could have been the one you referenced regarding traveling with a pillow on the grate--thanks to Kate Unruh at The Car Show. A good tip, and a simple way to solve the problems that could be caused by a loose grill flailing around.

Now that I've had time to think about it, I have come to believe that loose grills and loose stoves are almost certainly separate issues requiring separate actions. I have put the "check stove mounting" item on my checklist for the next time the TM is open.

We have the stove cover option, use our TM extensively on wash boarded/rough back roads and have not had these problems. Maybe the stove cover is the solution....

Smile Pop Top Stove

Spent labor day weekend on south Jesery Shore. All smoth Highways from Baltimore to Cape May. The first morning while cooking breakfast I noticed the eggs were running to one side of ther pan .I knew I had leveled the unit. Then I noticed the whole top of the stove had poped up almost 1/2 inch in the back. It was easy to put back . I now believe the stories of ovens moving while traveling
