Here are pictures of the bath room vent. It's not in the best location, but it works. On the first picture, it's in the top left corner.

Interesting, they must have moved the vent over the years, or in different models. My vent is also in the side of the tub like yours, but closer to the door.

As far as I know, the vent you are showing is NOT directly connected to the toilet, unless there is another change I'm not aware of.

Default Kidkratz, what toilet did you install?

I saw your pics, and checked my bathroom fan only to find out that it
worked intermittently and was noisy. So, I am installing an 80mm computer
fan in its place. The 80mm fits right between the small posts.
The toilet had been removed, and plywood pieces placed over the flange to
make a base for a portable Thetford 365 for night use.
I will have the new fan in tomorrow, and will review it. I carefully used my
reciprocating saw to remove most of the existing old fan, as that is a very
difficult area with limited space. Barely enough wire to splice a new fan in.
After I have the new fan working, I am considering a new "real" toilet.
Any recommendations? Don't mean to change the subject, as it is related.

Mickmanor, I installed a cassette toilet. My first cassette failed where the water line connected to the flush ring. I currently have the Thetford C223 and also bought a spare tank for longer camping trips. I posted some pictures in my albums. The hardest was cutting into the outer wall, but even if I could go back, I wouldn't. There's several posts of folks that changed to a different version of toilet, so you have options.
On the fan, mine is the same size as what's used for the fridge, which I've always thought as a spare in a pinch. When I pulled the outdoor shower compartment, that's where that fan vents too. No the best, but it seems to have worked well.

Super idea flyboy, I'm out camping but that's my first project when I get back to civilization.

I have not used my TM yet, and hopefully I will not have any issues with the odors, but I I do, would it be Instead of switching the toilet gauge from left to right, could the left side be used to connect the vent hose and then into a fan and then a hose directed out to where the bathroom fan (under the tub) exits to the outside?

Interesting idea. The limit would be that if you use the new vent fan to simply blow the exhaust into the under-tub space (which exhausts through the floor under the tub) it might flow backward through the existing fan and back into the bathroom. To prevent that, you could also turn on the existing vent fan, and have both fans running.

The only disadvantage to this is that the existing fan is noisy. You could, of course, replace the existing fan with a quieter fan. Computer fans are cheap.

Or, I think you are suggesting that you might add the new fan, direct it through a new hose, and direct the end of the new hose through the floor under the tub. That would solve the back-feed problem. But to do it, you would need to remove the wood panel between the toilet and tub. I would hesitate to do that, since space in that area is tight.

@MrGallegos, I think I get where you're coming from. You want the easiest method to add a power vent to the toilet without cutting new holes. If you try to add a hose through the bathroom fan vent, you would have to run the bathroom fan as well as the smaller vent fan to ensure you don't have toilet odors wafting back into the trailer. Even if you fed the hose past the fan to vent out the bottom, I doubt the odors would diffuse enough with fresh air.

if you are not practiced in yoga to be able to twist yourself around to plumb a vent to the drain vent line, you could probably drill a hole through side and add a small plastic grill to cover the hole. Going through the floor might be better if you can find room around the toilet because you want to be away from the windows with that lovely L'eau de toilette!

Thank you Bill and Larry. Yes I am trying to find the most easiest methods for any modification as I would like to do any modification myself, and I want to keep things simple to maintain and operate.
